• The Old and the New:

A Juxtaposition of Now and Then’s

    Maryland Parkway

By David Beccera, Meredith Hall and Alexia Zilliken

Maryland Parkway is one of Las Vegas’ oldest running streets stretching from Russell Rd. to Washington Ave. It is a street filled with lots of history, art, and is home to many different cultures. Maryland Parkway has seen many changes since the 1940’s such as a rapidly growing city, an increase in population, businesses and services and has definitely been through a lot of construction. Below are images that showcase the change of Maryland Parkway since the 1940’s all the way to present day.

As the city of Las Vegas continues to grow Maryland Parkway will grow and change with the city as well, but with the Pulse of the Parkway Project we hope to showcase Maryland Parkway and its current state to show future generations of how far it has survived and hopefully live on.
